Video showcases Vernon to visitors

April 6, 2022 – Vernon has a starring role in a new campaign that entices visitors to discover everything the North Okanagan has to offer as a destination.

Explore Next Door is a video produced by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Vernon and the Okanagan We Got This coalition of Chambers.

“The tourism and hospitality sector have been particularly impacted by the pandemic and as restrictions are eased, we want to encourage people to visit Vernon and the North Okanagan for its world-class recreation, vibrant cultural scene, extensive shopping and one-of-a-kind experiences,” said Dan Proulx, general manager of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

“Explore Next Door focuses on the opportunities Vernon provides for visitors from just down the road or the next province over. Whether you live in Osoyoos, Kelowna, Vancouver, Prince George, Lethbridge or Edmonton, Vernon has everything to create a memorable getaway for just a few hours or several days.”

Explore Next Door also reinforces the significant role businesses play in our community through employment, diverse products and services, and revenue generation. Those businesses benefit when visitors choose Vernon as their destination as tourism dollars circulate through the community and boost our economy.

“Entrepreneurial spirit is at the heart of everything that occurs in the Vernon and the North Okanagan and that is worth celebrating,” said Proulx.

The Explore Next Door video can be found HERE and it will be circulated through social media.

The Okanagan We Got This coalition includes the Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber, Greater Vernon Chamber, Kelowna Chamber, Greater Westside Board of Trade, Peachland Chamber, Penticton and Wine Country Chamber and the South Okanagan Chamber.

Explore Next Door is made possible through the support of the B.C. Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Canada.
