Chamber unveils Relaunch Vernon tool kit
VERNON – The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is making sure businesses take the necessary steps prior to reopening so they can bounce back from Covid-19 as soon and as safely as possible.
At vernonchamber.ca, you will find the Relaunch Vernon tool kit which outlines some of the actions and resources required to bring staff and customers back to your business.
“Employers must be prepared to relaunch their business under new conditions while remaining flexible enough to adapt to ongoing changes,” said Krystin Kempton, Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce president.
The tool kit includes information on creating a back to work task force, preparing your office or workspace, preparing your employees and preparing to do business.
“The new normal means business owners must communicate even more with their staff, whether it’s about physical distancing, keeping workspaces clean or ensuring employees are healthy. These steps have always been important but are vital now as employees must be comfortable in their work setting,” said Kempton.
“And prior to reopening, clearly outline what you expect of your customers. It’s fair to let them know what measures are in place to keep them and your staff safe.”
Relaunch Vernon also includes information on government programs supporting businesses as well as resources from business organizations and HR experts.
“Businesses of all sizes are the backbone of our community and we want to ensure that the process of reopening runs as smoothly as possible given the uncertainty that continues to exist around Covid-19,” said Kempton.
