Chamber provides election resources

VERNON – With a provincial election just two weeks away, the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce wants to ensure its members are ready to take part in the provincial election Oct. 24.

A special section has been established on the Chamber's website that provides all of the details you need for the election - key dates, what identification you require and where polling stations will be found. There are also links to the political parties and media coverage.

“The outcome of the election will determine the future of the province for the next few years, so it’s vital that we be informed on the campaign issues and the process of actually casting a ballot,” said Krystin Kempton, Greater Vernon Chamber president.

“The Chamber is a non-partisan organization and our primary mandate is to advocate on behalf of our members and the community no matter who forms government.”

The special section also includes video from the Vernon-Monashee all-candidates forum the Chamber and the B.C. Fruit Growers Association hosted Oct. 8. Participating in the virtual event were Kyle Delfing from the B.C. Conservatives, Eric Foster from the BC Liberals, Harwinder Sandhu from the B.C. NDP and Keli Westgate, from the B.C. Greens.
