About Us

Originally built by the Vollan family of Edmonton back in 1974, the hotel incorporated the nearby creek as a key element of its design. Offering a constant flow of natural water streaming in from outside, the creek and garden atrium have since become guests’ favourite part of their hotel experience. Today, there are more than 1,000 plants in the atrium and the atmosphere is both calm and inviting.

Many changes have occurred since the hotel first opened, including changes in its ownership and name (it was formerly known as the Best Western Vernon Lodge and the Vernon Atrium Hotel), but certain things have always remained: the caring nature of the staff, and the warm inviting feeling that the Lodge offers to its guests.

In October of 2016, Prestige Hotels and Resorts purchased the hotel and decided to name it back to the Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre. The hotel is now proud to be part of the Prestige Hotels and Resorts family, and its collection of 15 properties across B.C. Locations include Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Golden Radium Hot Springs, Cranbrook, Nelson, Rossland, Sooke, Smithers, Prince Rupert and Prince George.
