Service Manager (HVAC/R) – Lead Our 5-Star Team!
Required Credentials: Red Seal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning + Gas A or B
Location: Vernon, BC
Hours: Monday to Friday (daytime hours with occasional after-hours support as needed)
Wage: $60/hour plus negotiated bonuses
Signing Bonus: $5,000.00 paid after completing a 3 month probationary period
Vacation: Accrued vacation - 2 weeks for the first year, 3 weeks during the second year, and then 4 weeks starting in the third year.
Benefits: Eligible after 3 months

About the Role
We’re looking for a calm, capable, and people-focused Service Manager with strong HVAC/R field experience, proven performance, and confident leadership.
In this role, you’ll lead a high-caliber team of skilled technicians and help them continue to do their best work through clear direction, strong support, and a consistent focus on training, safety, quality, and client care.
This is a great fit for someone who’s technically strong, highly organized, and comfortable guiding a fast-moving service department while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
Applicant Requirements:

Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic

Gas A or Gas B Fitter certification
-
10+ years commercial, residential or combined HVAC/R
-
Strong technology skills (comfortable with tablets/phones, dispatch software, digital work orders, email/calendar, and troubleshooting apps/tools)

Legally entitled to work in Canada

What You’ll Do
Service Leadership & Team Support

Lead a high-caliber team of service and installation technicians with clear direction, coaching, and troubleshooting support

Help set the tone for a respectful, accountable, high-performing team culture

Support training, mentoring, and consistent standards across workmanship and client experience
Client Experience & Service Excellence

Handle escalations calmly and professionally, focusing on fair solutions and clear communication

Ensure clients receive proactive updates and a true five-star service experience

Maintain quality control and consistency across service calls, paperwork, and follow-up
Scheduling, Workflow & Operational Excellence

Work closely with CSR/dispatch to prioritize calls, assign the right tech to the right job, and keep days running smoothly

Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation (notes, photos, parts, recommendations)

Identify patterns and opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce callbacks, and strengthen internal systems
Safety & Standards

Promote safe work practices, code compliance, and company standards

Support clean documentation and consistent procedures across the team
