Early Childhood Educator | Room Lead

Enrolling all children regardless of abilities, pronouns, family background, cultural or religious status. Following a Developmentally Appropriate, Reggio-emilia inspired approach to early learning.

We feature different programs for all family needs, including a Preschool-ONLY program with set pick-up times (4-hr program) and a Preschool + Childcare program with flexible pick-up options. Childcare programs are available all year long. All our programs focus on creativity and self-expression.

As an Educator in this position at Raising Stars Preschool, you will be expected to:

• Full details of the position can be discussed at the interview
• Assist with plans, individual education plans, and child's care plans
• Support children in everyday activities and skills.
• Support children's interests and natural curiosity.
• Help Support children with special needs
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
• Maintain a Clean environment (sharing cleaning duties among all staff).
• Respectful of property, belongs, and admin staff of the facility
• Basic understanding of Licensing regulations

A successful candidate would need:

• Grade 12 English or equlilent
• Minimum age of 19 years old
• Early Childhood Educator with a license to practice in B.C.*
• Criminal record clearance (centre-specific link will be provided upon successful interview)
• T.B. clearance signed
• Health/Immunization declaration
• Resume
• Two - Three written references
• First Aid or willingness to receive

*must have E.C.E. original Certificate or number and expiry date
