TEDx Kalamalka Lake will return to the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. with this year's theme, "What We Carry." The independently organized TEDx event will bring 9 speakers to the stage for an evening of live talks exploring the stories, responsibilities, experiences, lessons and hopes that people carry through their lives. Following its 2025 launch, TEDx Kalamalka Lake continues to grow as a local platform for ideas, dialogue and community connection in the North Okanagan. The 2026 event will feature speakers from diverse backgrounds, each presenting a unique idea connected to the theme. "TEDx Kalamalka Lake is about creating a place where local voices and meaningful ideas can be heard," said Philipp Gruner, Founder and Curator of TEDx Kalamalka Lake. "This year's theme, What We Carry, gives us a powerful way to reflect on the stories, experiences and responsibilities that shape how we connect with one another." The speaker lineup is being announced throughout the summer and fall through the TEDx Kalamalka Lake website and social media channels. Attendees can expect an evening designed to inspire curiosity, spark conversation and leave the community with ideas worth carrying forward. Tickets are available now through Ticket Seller. Admission is listed at $58.25 per person, including fees and charges. Tickets can be reserved at https://www.ticketseller.ca/tickets/event/what-we-carry.
