DESCRIPTION:Business Security Workshop: Protecting Your Business By Design is being hosted by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce\, Downtown Vernon Association and the City of Vernon.\n\n\n\nReducing theft and increasing safety is at the forefront of every business owners mind. Using the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)\, this workshop will offer practical and esthetically pleasing ways of reducing the opportunities for mischief and theft.  Discussion will look at storefront security\, security self-audits\, lighting and layout as well as how to navigate the challenges faced in the current social climate.\n\n\n\nThe workshop will be led by Rachael Zubick\, coordinator of the City of Vernon's Community Safety Office.\n\n\n\nLight appetizers will be provided.
