DESCRIPTION:The Annual AGM luncheon\, presented by Capri CMW\, will be held on Wednesday\, September 12th\, 2018. This an important meeting as it is your opportunity meet the nominees\, vote in our future board members and review our previous years financial statements. It is also an occasion to gather and celebrate the passing year's achievements by the outgoing President and Directors with some good company\, food and an influential speaker. It is an event to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the business community and in helping the Chamber succeed. \n\n\nSpeaker: IBC's (Insurance Bureau of Canada) Vice President\, Aaron Sutherland\n \n\nBritish Columbians pay more for auto insurance than anyone else in Canada and don't receive the benefits they deserve for the amount they pay. While recent reforms are an important first step\, the lack of competition in the marketplace places drivers at significant disadvantage relative to their peers in other provinces. Now\, more than ever\, it's time to put consumers first and create choice in B.C.'s auto insurance marketplace.\nAaron Sutherland is the Vice President of the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC)\, the national association of Canada's home\, business\, and auto insurers. In his presentation\, Mr. Sutherland will outline how opening the B.C. market to competition and choice would spur greater innovation and improve the affordability of auto insurance in B.C.
